  1. imo 215-50-16 are going to cause you problems......the rr is going to be greater which wont help you much....is it that you cant find any 215 45 16's or is it that they are very expensive .have you looked into 205' as an alternative.........as for my front wheels....they pick up on the top of the arch taking chunks out of the tyre and have damaged the lip of the inner arch ....so i now go round corners like miss daisy ....... The probblem for me is I can't get 215/45*16 in Malaysia, even with 215 the tyres side walls are stretch to reeach the 9J rims with 205 I think the tyre is way too unde
  2. Tommy I am not worried about the front but the rear I will get the rear arch rolled or cut! But i still have the tyre problem can't get a set 0r 215/45*16, the set of wheels and tyres came off a Japanese VR6 Vento. The 215/45*16 that came with the rims are knackered thus i am now stuck, will 215/50*16 fit? :? BTW tommy what problems you have with the front? Thanks for the help guys
  3. Thanks Nick, thats what I thought, 225 will be a problem. The rims are 9J*16*ET55 sorry for the mistake and with adapters we are looking at et35. The next problem for me is I can't get this tyre size in Malaysia 215*45*16 or 225*40*16!! I love the rims and looks but now problem with tyres....
  4. Hi just bought a set of RH cup rims 7.5*16"*ET45(205/45 tyres) front and 9J*16*ET5(215/45tyres) with original RH adaptors spacers. The rear tyres would touch the lips of the arches, I will grind this off at the 10 to 2 position of the arch. My next question is what tyre size I should use for the rear? Have annyone try this on their golf VR6? I thinking of using 225/40 at the rear will this cause further problems of stick with the 215/45 where the 9J rim is an oversize.
