What's the best way of going about replacing a clutch

Recommended Posts

I'm after some pointers and advice about changing my clutch and crankshaft oil seal. I'll prob fit a Techniclutch

Is it best to take the front end and radiator off, then remove engine and gearbox complete with a hoist ? I know some of you guys have done this.

I'll probably replace the head gasket while it's out, anything else worth doing ? (please don't say fit a charger as i'm soo tempted but ain't got the pennies)

Cheers in advance for any help

just drop the box off from underneath drive shafts off etc loosenin the n/s hub helps a ton tooget the box well out of the way give yourself a load of room to work around that area, id say check all the timing parts for wear and tear as the guides are only plastic. remember to get a jack under the engine when you removve the box cos its only held inb by 2 mounts. i wouldnt bother takin the whole lump out its a bit of a mare. this way you dont have to take all your front panel off either. hope this gives you an idea mate? :-p
