blackmagic 0
Hi m8 it will be wired with either two power supplies one perm and one ignition or the car maybe wired with just a permanant. What you need to do is on the jvc wiring you have a red ( ignition ) wire and a yellow ( permanant ) wire these have bullet connections on the just unplug both and rejoin em the other way round ie join red to yellow and yellow to red instead of red to red and yell yo yell. If that dont work you will need to join the red and red back together and then join one end of the yellow the one that comes from the stereo to the red so that the stereo wiring now has both red and yellow joined together and both are connected to the red end that goes to the black iso block. If you have a JVC which has no wiring loom just a female iso block in the back go to halfords and buy a iso adaptor part number PC 2-18-4 and just plug it in.One of the above will defo sort the problem out unless you blown a fuse. Let me know how you do.
squirreleater 0
finally got my tester back from a mate, so could test the supply at the head unit plug.i was surprised to find two perm feeds? so just linked out the perm and switched as i had before.the reason i posted here was i pulled the head unit out and it was warm? Thought it would need to be switched live as well? guess i'll just have to actually switch the head unit off before taking the face off now- at least i know now.Ta for the advise.
