NEILX5 0 Posted April 7, 2006 Report Share Posted April 7, 2006 Hi Guys, Just bought a vr6 that was tuned by stealth racing it has a bmc carbon filter a chipstar chip and a cat back supersprint exhaust system.The first few days it was running like a dream now when i start it up it feels as if it choking and trying to clear its throat then it will just die on me!! kempj1 0 Posted April 7, 2006 Report Share Posted April 7, 2006 Do you use the throttle at all when starting it? If so, don't. Try just turning the key and getting it going. Don't touch the loud pedal, and just let it sit for 30 seconds. Will idle this long? Link to post Share on other sites
ggunson 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Report Share Posted April 8, 2006 Just my 2 centsI had a similar problem with my K&N induction kit, it turned out to be the whole thing was shaking too much causing the MAF problems, I fabricated a much stronger bracket out of aluminium it hasn't stopped since.
