HEAD GASKET--------------WATER OIL MIXED-------ON OIL CAP

HI,

RECENTLY BOUGHT A N REG VR6 DONE 103K,,,,,,,,,AFTER CHECKING THE OIL TODAY THERE IS A VERY SLIGHT SKIM OF MILKY OIL ON THE CAP,,,,,,,,RAN IT FOR 120 MILES THEN LEFT IT STANDING FOR AGES,,,,NEVER OVER HEATS OR COME CLOSE TO, AND DOESNT USE WATER,,,,SAYING THAT ITS HASNT BEEN SERVICED FOR 15000 MILES,,,,,IS IT CYLINDER HEAD GASKET OR ARE THEY SLIGHTLY PRONE TO THIS........HAS BEEN STOOD AS WELL FOR FOUR MONTHS,WITH BEING STARTED ONCE A WEEK BUT NOT RAN OUT.....SOMEONE TELLS ME THIS COULD BE THE CAUSE......

ANYONE?????????????

Sounds like its just condenation - you would get that on most cars if you do short journeys or as you say - the cars just been started once a week etc. Check the coolant to see if theres any oil been mixed in there and check the dipstick - if its got the same milky look to it then you've possibly got a head gasket problem. Might aswell get it serviced aswell or at least an oil change if its not been done in 15k miles. Mine gets changed every 6 months no matter how many miles the cars done.
