stevietots1 0 Posted February 9, 2006 Report Share Posted February 9, 2006 hi guys, i finally found time to fit a new window regulator on the drivers side door as the cable snapped on the old one. however i have a slight problem. the electric window works fine but when it goes up and down there is a horrible grating noise coming from somewhere. i spoke to a friend and he said he had a similar problem when fitting one on an mr2 and sorted it by slightly loosing the bolts that hold it in. now im gonna give that a try when time alows but has any1 else had similar problems when fitting a new window regulator. the part i fitted was bought from german and sweedish. Slim 0 Posted February 9, 2006 Report Share Posted February 9, 2006 I have that same problem, although when I let my mechanic mate have a look, he advised me that I needed a new window regulator. Only happened after I accidentally pressed the window down button as I got into the car when it was covered in lumpy ice. Link to post Share on other sites
