dubberVR6 0
Hi, can anyone help? I've noticed a kind of whiney hissing noise that seems to be coming from the drivers side of the engine bay. It is not always there, but comes and go's on cornering. It first started when I went on full lock. IS it something to do with the PAS? Fluid etc? Hope someone can help! %-
matth76 1
Yes it's the PAS pump. Nothing to worry about. I have it too and so do most with power steering. It's only something to worry about if you hear a "knocking" sound when you go round corners. Otherwise your car is fine mate.

dubberVR6 0
It was the power steering fluid, or, lack of! The VW dealer across the road from my house filled it up for me free of charge!!!!!
