Took my vr6 to the garage because it was running a bit rough on idle and light pressure acceleration. The fella there said it was something to do with not enough fuel being sent to the engine when you accelerate gently, anything more and it is fine. He then said he was going to stick a ball bearing up a vaccum pipe and this would increase fuel flow when needed. He put it on the rolling road and tested it and it improved significantly but the problem is still there slightly. I got one error message on the scanner which was an intermitent fault, something to do with a hall sensor. He asked if I had problems starting it in the morning to which the answer was no so he didn't seem to think it was a problem. He said if I wasn't happy that I should change the Lamda sesnsor as this would probably solve the problem. Before I go and spend the cash I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts.
