matth76 1 Posted October 21, 2005 Report Share Posted October 21, 2005 HiI was looking into this and apparently if you have an odb2 vr6 (that is if it is manufactured 1995 or later) then it will not benefit from having a chip... that's because the current ecu is really good. However if you have an older car (odb1) made early 1995 or before then it will benefit from having one by about 5-10bhp. If you do have a new odb2 vr6 you will still get improved drivability, such as most flat spots eliminated but no real increase in power. However if you want to add a charger or high lift cams to your car then a unichip and remap is what you will need. A unichip is different to a standard 'super'chip in that it allows your ecu to be remapped now and in the future and costs about Link to post Share on other sites
