is it worth getting my vr6 chipped?

Hi

I was looking into this and apparently if you have an odb2 vr6 (that is if it is manufactured 1995 or later) then it will not benefit from having a chip... that's because the current ecu is really good. However if you have an older car (odb1) made early 1995 or before then it will benefit from having one by about 5-10bhp. If you do have a new odb2 vr6 you will still get improved drivability, such as most flat spots eliminated but no real increase in power. However if you want to add a charger or high lift cams to your car then a unichip and remap is what you will need. A unichip is different to a standard 'super'chip in that it allows your ecu to be remapped now and in the future and costs about
