dubloke 4
i had some of these on mine a while back and thought they looked huge on the car, loved them tbh and wish i hadnt sold them now! found that on a 60mm drop tho, with 215's and the incorrect offset that tended to scrub a fair bit on the back! antera309 3
Go with 205/40/17 tyres and you won't get any rubbing with a 7x17" wheel. Maybe a little at the rear when you've got 2 people in the back, but that's about it.Interestingly enough, I've found that certain makes of tyres are more prone to rubbing than others. Toyo Proxes T1-S don't rub at all, whereas Yokohama A539s rub loads. Same size in both cases, 205/40/17...
mattverth 0
I don't know how dropped mine is, but I believe its in the order of 50 odd mm. The tyres are Falken 512's - pretty good actually, but the best feature of them is the steeply raked shoulder. This minimises rubbing. Only rubbing I have had is basically trying 90 degree corners too hard, with big weight transfer. I may raise it by 10mm all round on its HR coilovers, when I find the second "spanner". I am a bit worried about rolling arches, as some on here talk of paint fractures/bubbling/bodgy jobs. A mate over here had audi a4 wheel arched rolled with no ill effects, so maybe I could do it....Just for reference, I searched sydney for ages to find BBS or OZ. BBS were 220 quid for wheel alone, per wheel. OZ were 350 quid each! I bought these, new, with alignment, decent tyres, for 480 quid equivalent all in. Not bad.
