There were rumors for some time but Dodge has finally announced the Challenger GT AWD with all-wheel drive. Challenger GT AWD will be available only with less powerful 3.6l V6 engine which can produce 308hp and 336 Nm torque. The GT AWD has automatic gearbox with 8 gears. So far, there is no information by Dodge about a version with V8 engine. The GT AWD has a standard rear-wheel drive for normal usage along with the all-wheel drive mode. The outlook of the GT AWD is not so different from the other Challengers. It comes with front fog lamps, spoiler on the deck lid, 19-inch aluminum wheels with Michelin tires, nappa leather sits with integrated heating, heated steering wheel, multimedia system with 8.4-inch touchscreen display. Dodge says that the powerful and cheap Challenger GT AWD imposes as a serious competition for the European coupe cars like Audi A5, BMW 430i xDrive and Mercedes C300 4Matic coupe.
