VR6OC News Bot 30
Ford has officially revealed all-new Ford Fiesta in four production variants at a special “Go Further” event in Cologne, Germany. But unfortunately, the company still is keeping all the details in secret for now, and probably will reveal tomorrow. Featuring an elegant exterior, and ergonomic interior, the all-new supermini will be available in four production variants: the stylish Fiesta Titanium, the Ford Performance-inspired Fiesta ST-Line, the upscale Fiesta Vignale and the Fiesta Active crossover hatch with off-road pretensions. The new Fiesta will also be more efficient and bigger than the current model. The interior has been completely overhauled, too, and now features an 8‑inch floating high-definition touchscreen instead of the physical buttons. It also boasts SYNC 3 communications and entertainment system as well as Fiesta also will be the first Ford to feature a premium B&O PLAY Sound System. In terms of safety, the new-gen Fiesta according to Ford is the “most advanced small car in the world” and features active assistance systems such as Active Park Assist with Perpendicular Parking, Blind Spot Information System, Lane Keep Aid, Adaptive Cruise Control, and the new anti-collision system among others. The engine range will consist of turbocharged and naturally-aspirated 3-cylinder petrol units, as well as a new TDCi diesel. But the Ford’s Multi-award-winning 1.0-liter EcoBoost petrol engine is the key option since according to Ford it will be the world’s first three-cylinder engine to feature cylinder deactivation. The technology allows some cylinders to be ‘switched off’ when not needed, and to reengage only when they need to be active. This will apparently result in an improvement in terms of performance, torque and efficiency. View the full article
