Now, is getting ready to be refreshed, and the blue oval company is making some big changes, such as the updated grille and lighting units as well as modified front and rear bumpers. But now emerged some new juicy information, which according to a forum post on Mustang6G.com there will be some significant changes to the pony car’s options. One is that Ford may kill V6. The information comes from a dealership employee, who on the 2018 Mustang’s order guide found that the V-6 engine order code was marked as “invalid.” Killing the 3.7-liter V-6 could mean that the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder will be the standard unit, while the 5.0-liter V-8 will be offered as an option. Other most notable changes include MagneRide dampers used on the Shelby GT350, which will be available on the EcoBoost and GT models as well. A 10-speed automatic will reportedly replace the current six-speed gearbox, which should improve performance and efficiency. There will be also a dual exhaust system as well as an option dubbed “Performance Package 2”. It suggests that Ford will offer a more track-focused package for the Mustang GT.
