This comes as a surprise since Chevy initially announced that the new 2017 Camaro ZL1 will deliver an estimated 640 hp (477 kW) and 640 pound-feet (867 Nm) of torque. Now, thanks to a leaked order guide for 2017 Camaro we can see that the supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 will dispose with 650 hp (485 kW) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm). That means the ZL1 now matches the output for the Corvette Z06 and surpasses the 640-horsepower of the Cadillac CTS-V, but still can’t match the 707-hp output of the almighty Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. While the Z06 and CTS-V use 8-speed auto, the ZL1 debuts a new 10-speed automatic gearbox co-developed with Ford. Besides the extra muscle, the 107-page guide also reveals some new components like a carbon-fiber dash inserts, a carbon-fiber gas door, and embroidered floor mats. The 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 will go on sale this later this year in coupe form, while convertible version will follow it on the market in early 2017.
