Named Heartbeat, this ultra-hot Golf GTI had its world premiere at the Wortherseel in Austria at the international meeting of GTI fans. This one-off model is based on a regular three-door GTI, but features a heavily reworked version of the GTI Performance’s turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that delivers massive 400 PS. The hot hatchback has a contrasting color scheme, a honeycomb design and heartbeat symbols. The car also sits on aluminium BBS 20-inch wheels with wide tires and features lowered suspension. Inside, apprentices have removed the rear seats and modified the trunk to accommodate a high-end sound system with 1,360 watts from seven speakers and a specially designed HIFI system with LED lighting and engraved glass covers. There’s also a Heartbeat symbols on the interior trims. The Volkswagen Golf GTI Heartbeat is the ninth project of VW Vocational Training and was created to demonstrate the talent of VW’s apprentices.
