This unique livery was done by collaboration between Block, Hoonigan and the artist Felipe Pantone. Kinetic street art artist Felipe Pantone spent eight days making the livery at the Hoonigan headquarters in Long Beach, California. The original artworks firstly were painted on canvas with spray, then translated into the digital files and finally they were wrapped onto the both new Ford Focus RS RX race cars. Designed to convey speed and motion, the livery represents a kinetic mix of geometric patterns, bold colors and intricate fades. The internationally known graffiti artist says:“It was really exciting to work on this project, my work talks about speed, technology, and the times we are living in, all of which are embodied by the Hoonigan team.” As a reminder, the Rallycross car is based on the new 2016 Ford Focus RS, which has been developed by Ford Performance, Hoonigan Racing and M-Sport. Under the hood is an amplified version of the EcoBoost engine that delivers 600 hp and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque. Equipped with a Sadev 6-Speed sequential gearbox with adjustable, mechanical front and rear differentials and all-wheel drive the car sprints to 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) in less than 2 seconds.
