Offered exclusively in the hatchback body style, the Sport Black features sporty exterior enhancements that include 18-inch Gunmetal alloy wheels, front splitter, side skirts, door mirrors and roof spoiler, all painted in gloss black. It’s available with Soul Red Metallic and Snowflake White paint options. Inside, you’ll find a cool new half leather/half suede seats, new floor mats and stitching on the steering wheel, gear shifter, parking brake lever, door panels and center armrest. The standard kit includes the Bose surround-sound system, keyless entry, reverse camera, dual-zone climate control, cruise control and Mazda’s seven-inch touchscreen navigation system. Other standard highlights include Internet app integration for radio, Facebook and Twitter, 2 USB inputs, AUX, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, auto-dimming rearview mirror and smart city brake and lane departure warning. Power comes by the same 2.0 liter SkyActiv-G direct-injection four-cylinder petrol engine that powers the regular Mazda3. The unit generates 120 hp at 6,000 rpm and 210 Nm (150 pound-feet) at 4,000 rpm. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission, the car accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.9 seconds, while top speed is 195 km/h (121 mph). Fuel consumption stands at 43.5/65.7/55.4 mpg UK in urban, extra urban and combined. Just 800 units of the Sport Black will be built and will be sold exclusively in the UK.
