Hello everybody,

 

I've just joined the forum so thought I'd say hi.

 

I picked up an N reg Golf VR6 in black 5 door last night. It's totally original and  had the same owner for nearly 20 years and had thousands spent on it. It's got an MOT until June next year so I will probably run it around until the spring and sell it then. It's only just run in at 178,000 miles but it's a bit like 'triggers broom' as had so much replaced on it over the years it's been owned. It drives perfectly and pulls well so all is good with it.I have a pile of paperwork and full history of the thing. It does require a bit of cosmetic work though as over the years the rust has set in. It needs a pair of front wings as they've rusted and a little bit of paint here and there but apart from that it's solid. If anybody knows of a pair of BLACK front wings in good nick, please let me know as I'll just bolt those straight on to replace the rusty ones. I'm near Bristol so local would be good but I guess there's always the post to rely on.

 

I might decide to sell it as it is but as it stands it's going to be a great winter hack.
