Col_M 0
Do VRs pull a bit on the steering wheel under heavy/moderate acceleration? I just don't know if it's torque steer or a suspension alingnment thing. It happens pretty much everytime i put my foot down from stationary or from low speed (30-40mph) From what i can remember it's only for the first second or so of acceleration then it seems to stabilise, it's like the wheel pulls then after it feels light, but i haven't had the chance to do it on a quiet stretch of road to feel exactly what feedback i get from the steering wheel. I just need to know if it's a problem or characteristic really Sorry if this is in the wrong section, i didn't know if it was a mechanical, suspension or chassis thing as it could be classed as all of those Please move if it's in the wrong place
Seademon 0
Might just be toruqe steer - mine does it a bit but not so much that I'd crash or anything
Col_M 0
yeah, it isn't so bad that i veer or anything, more of just a feeling through the wheel
silverline 0
if its anything serious it will deteriate, the pulling will get worse and more regular. mines exactly the same, i ve had wheel alignment checks, wheels balanced, i know suspensions fine so i put it down to torque steer. on a bumpy road in 1st and 2nd its quite lively!i drove my mates focus RS, torque steer on the golf is nothing compared to them things - as soon as it hits boost the steering goes mental!
