sedge 7
Hi guys, So I know everyone recommends using the mk4 MLS headgasket but yesterday I went to install a Victor Reinz metal layered gasket and discovered that one of the holes to allow coolant doesn't actually properly line up with a corrado 12v head! it is only one hole that half overlaps as apposed to lining up bang on. Is this what everyone discovers and doesn't worry too much about it or is something strange going on? I have attached a photo so you can see what I mean:The steel spacer plate the gasket is offered up to in the photo lines up bang on with the cylinder head. but you can see the coolant hole just below cylinder one overlaps. I'm not as worried about the bigger port next to it being slightly different shapes that seems to be the same on all head spacers. Also my old fibre gasket that I pulled off the engine lines up spot on with the steel spacer and cylinder head. Thanks Matt
