After driving round in an old ford transit my mate lent me for a few months, i'm getting fed up and think its about time i fixed the vr6.

It will turn over fine, unfortunately more often than not this is all it will do. On the odd occasion it will fire up but will only run for 5-10 secs and then die, or if you try throttling up it will just cut out. I recently replaced the coilpack and crank sensor and ive tested the spark and this seems fine.

There is no obvious priming sound of the fuel pump, but I don't think there ever has been even before this problem, is there supposed to be on these? The only thing I've tried so far to do with this is the pump relay.

Any help?

Thanks, Tom
