cpfcvr6 6 Posted June 16, 2014 Report Share Posted June 16, 2014 (edited) ive got a good second hand cylinder head for my golf vr6. i cant take my head off as i need my car running for getting to work, so once vince at stealth racing has rebuilt this one, i will swap it over on my day off work. one thing do i need to get that timing chain cover skimmed aswel?? are all obd1 and obd2 covers the same?? if yes ill get one off ebay. michael5556 247 Posted June 24, 2014 Report Share Posted June 24, 2014 No you do not. Just get some good silicone gasket sealant and put a thin line around the edge before putting back on. Do the bolts up criss cross so to apply even pressure to the sealant Link to post Share on other sites
