chrisvr6t 19
Right people, I've put on a forge 50mm supersize recirc witch is routed back in after the maf, the problem I'm having is when shifting gears in hard boost say 2nd into 3rd the car will bog down and then build boost, the car never done this until I put the recirc on, it ran so much better with out the recirc but I didn't want to stress the turbo so I put it on, what do u guys think? Could it be the recirc is not shutting fast enough? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

michael5556 247
How much psi are you running? 50mm may be too big
chrisvr6t 19
It's running 1bar of boost at the moment, it feels like a boost pipe has popped off when it bogs down and the sound of the car changes aswell :s but no boost pipes are popping off, would you say not enough boost? Or to big of a recirc or the the recirc is not ceiling as it should, and also ever sinse I've put it on it seems to run lean on idle wideband reading from 15s to 17s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
michael5556 247
What's the afr in boost? And yeah the recirc may be too big. I would go for the 007 and just choose the spring to suit.
chrisvr6t 19
In boost it sees mid 11s, I didn't think size could be a factor, I'm pretty sure it's not seiling properly as before I routed it back in I would cover blow outlet and it would fine take my hand off I would run like a pig and over fuel big time, so I'm gonna take it off and inspect inside it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited April 13, 2014 by chrisvr6t
UnitedMotorsport 55
Its not possible for a recirc valve to be too big, with in reason. Too smaller valve with a big turbo/boost will cause surge. Sounds like it is not sealing or reacting fast enough. Running leaner in idle - the only explanation for this is air leak post MAF. Are you sure the valve is air tight?
chrisvr6t 19
I'm going to have a look at it soon so will let you know ASAP Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
chrisvr6t 19
Right I think I've sorted the recirc problem out, now the lean at idle issue is when the car really warms up, on cold start the car will idle in the low 12s then work it's way into the 14s off cold start then if I let idle for longer or drive it a bit then AFRs will go down in to the 16s 17s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
UnitedMotorsport 55
Do you have a lambda probe fitted?
michael5556 247
What was the recirc problem if you don't mind me asking?
chrisvr6t 19
It's still doing it as I took it out tonight and gave it a kicking, also noticed that half throttle the car pulls way harder and feels even more violent than when I put foot to the floor aswell for some reason I don't know, there is no lambda sensor in yet, but the car never used to see 16s on idle just randomly started doing itSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
