swompy 0
Thought I best get a build thread up for my rado and might as well start from the beginning! So this is what she was like when I picked her upA pretty standard Corrado VR6 with beige leather interior. Only mod when I got her were Koni adjustable coilovers, jetex exhaust. system and K&N induction kit.Unfortunately not long after getting her I found out the engine was screwed. Had low compression in 3 cylinders! So my original plans of chucking a Schrick manifold (which came with the car)and a set of cams in the car went out the. Had a good old chat with Graham from DG autotech about my options and we decided to go down the 24v route. As much as I would have loved an R32 I just couldn't stretch my money that far because of the scene tax! So in the end Graham managed to source a very good 2.8 24v out of a Bora 4motion for a pretty decent price. Also got bored of the beige leather I decided to strip the inside and start again!Got my self a bargain seats for the front! Before the interior went in she was off to DG autotech for the new engineWhilst the engine was being changed we found out it was all ready on a second engine and was a 2.8 too!Well after a lot of trouble Graham managed to get the new engine in up and running and it was worth the wait. After that was all done the build started to pick up some pace and new wheels were on next followed by the rest of the interior And this is how she is sitting nowAlso had her rolling road and she made reasonable power although slightly down but I think this is due to the position of the air filter. It made 199bhp and 220lbft and the torque curve was nice and flat (its the blue one) Thats everything for the moment im sure there will be more to add soon. A nice little video of her on full chat
