circlip causing abs fault

Hi well after my wheel bearing probs both are fitted with new hubs and driving well.

However i did have some issues with the bearing circlips here in my last thread http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?477521.10

im now getting front abs open circuit faults and think the circlip issue may be causing it.

The etka drawings my friend got me printed show 2 circlips (1front 1back) however Vw are saying just one circlip and the garage i use are saying they def take 2 circlips.

Does anyone know if there was a change made in this model so the bearing fits with just one clip at the front?When removing the old bearings the old one did seem to be seated fine in the carrer against the back without the rear clip in,as far as i know they are original factory bearing carriers too.The abs ring does now seem to be at least 2mm further out from the sensor probably due to the circlip in the back of the bearing.

Also is it possible to adjust the sensor to ring gap?
