Pieman 0 Posted April 28, 2012 Report Share Posted April 28, 2012 I am now fitting a VR6 that is running on gas into my Caddy. I'm going to do some mod's before it goes in. I am thinking of fitting a cheap turbo setup. I've seen a Vauxhall turbo running on Gas and that was very modified.Is anybody running a modified VR6 OBDII on Gas???Can the Gas be mapped to your setup??I want to keep running gas as its cheap!! ^o) Link to post Share on other sites
donpulsar 0 Posted May 25, 2012 Report Share Posted May 25, 2012 I've got LPG on my VR & the way my system works is the gas ECU basically follows the mapping on the main ECU & you can then tweak the gas map via a cable hookup to a laptop. There's even a turbo option on my gas mapping software. So depending how your gas is setup, you may well be able to get your petrol ecu remapped & a couple of setting changed on the gas ECU & then you'll be sorted. Best to check with whoever installed the LPG but I'd say you wont have a problem! :-) Link to post Share on other sites
