VR6II 0
Ok well i just thought i'd post this as a feedback for anyone who might wanna do the same + get opinions from anyone else...I've painted the inlet manifold Matt Black as i think that looks awesome on vr6 lumps and was happy with the result. However when i had fitted it earlier the paint has chipped and thats with minimal impact from the ratchet when tightening the bolts - gutted and pee'd off as a result! :-(I didn't apply any primer as its a High Temp paint and as the can said to apply direct, anyone have any idea's otherwise?I think in the future i will send off engine bay parts to be powder coated
bungy 2
Why use high temperature paint on an inlet maniold?
Lukey. 381
you could have just used a standard 2 or 3 stage prep and paint on the inlet, you could even paint the block like this though it obviously may not last as long
bungy 2
High temp paint usually needs a high temperature to help it cure and there would not be those on the inlet manifold.
