heres the plate , turns out its for lhd but im sure they do it for rhdhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-VDO-Gauge-Holder-VR6-G60-16V-Black-2Hole-93-/170605577843?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27b8e28673

also is this what i need for the pressure switch to go in?

You need a 10 bar gauge and sender with an m10x1 thread and you could use a t piece like that or a neater, better way is to get a twin pole sender. Then you can connect your original low pressure warning light and the new gauge wire up to the same place and you aren't introducing another potential problem point

Another point if you get a twin pole sender is to make sure you get a sender with a low pressure warning of 0.5 bar, 0.8 is a bit too high really

cheers for that lukey, im guessing you have vdo gauges aswell? any chance of some part numbers for the sender? so many to choose from, also on normal driving what is your oil pressure, just found a sender like you mention except the low pressure warning comes on at 0.25 bar this ok? or to high?

yea that's actually the default level of the original low pressure sender you would replace. Last time I looked the lowest I could find was a 0.5 and its what I run, but not bothered as I thought about it and decided that 0.25 BAR is a bit low anyway lol

On cold start it will up to 6 driving and over and about 4 on cold idle, when hot it will hover at 2 - 4 driving, obviously the harder you drive the higher it goes, full throttle at 6krpm can hit over 5 and 2 or a bit lower on idle.

I don't have a part number on my invoice for either the gauge or sender, but they are both vision range 10BAR VDO. The proper VDO sender is fairly costly, I think mine was over 50 quid, but I had read that mixing makes doesn't always work and wanted to be sure it would work fine.

I got them from here http://www.etbinstruments.com/Sensors_ancillaries.htm I rang him up and told him the exact specs I wanted ie thread pitch and low pressure warning
