sadken 0 Posted October 24, 2011 Report Share Posted October 24, 2011 Hello all.I have a 1997 VR6.I had the air con re-gassed about 4 months ago and it has been fine.The other day, things went wrong.As soon as I activate the |Climatronic unit and I can hear the motor kicking in, the car engine cuts out.I have had some issues which I think are related to the ignition switch in the past, (Stereo not staying on, had to have it wired on permanently to bypass the switch) and recently, the car sopmetimes takes a few turns of the key to start.Is this aircon thing related, or is it something else?Many thanksMike Link to post Share on other sites
Puto do Polo 0 Posted November 13, 2011 Report Share Posted November 13, 2011 hello, normaly when this happens is the AC compressor is dead, stuck. whe the cluch is on the motor those not have strenth to turn over the compressor and the motor cut out! Link to post Share on other sites
