vr6matt 0
Hi All,Some of you may have seen my other post about some issues on my VR...1. Some starting problems from cold (needs throttle), and lumpy idle for first few minutes2. Auto shift kickdown / issue when shifting from 2nd>3rdWell, I now have fault codes...00268 - shift solenoid 6, n93 (done some research, and it says this is the epc - pressure sensor solenoid)00287 - abs/wheel speed signal00532 - tranmssion control module voltage - low battery or bad ground.00668 battery power voltage terminal 3Has anyone expereinced or seen these codes before? Also, I am trying to source a solenoid which is proving difficult! If anyone knows a source or rough price this would be great!I guess I should start on the solendoid first for the shift problem, but who knows, some of the others could have a relation to it...so any advice would be really appreciated! All the bestMatt
legvw 0
It might have thrown the solenoid up as a fault because it's not running? Not too clued up on autos though.
VeeRsix 0
All of your fault codes are minor issues including the solenoid which i presume is for pressure relief ? (advise) , remove and clean up the plunger then refit or you can bench test it with a battery charger.Stephen
vr6matt 0
Hi,Thanks for the reply - yes, solenoid 6 appears to be for pressure sensing/relief. My syptoms are some off behaviour on kick down (perhaps 1-2 seconds of free revving before selecting gear, and the odd jerky change from 2nd>3rd)...the rest of the time the car drives fine! Do you think I could just remove the solenoid and give it a clean rather than buy a new solenoid? Thanks again
VeeRsix 0
Yes m8service the solenoid pay attention to the piston and any dust boot, and lightly oil it with wd40.Then test and ensure its operaration before re-installing.Stephen
