kazama76 1 Posted August 14, 2011 Report Share Posted August 14, 2011 hey guys, ive been bit of a numpty today, loli bought a exhaust system for my vr, i put it all on then realise the lambda sensor connection is different same lay out, so my question is, can i cut the 4 wires and reconnect them to the other connector, or the other question, Do i HAVE to have a lambda sensor ? UnitedMotorsport 55 Posted August 14, 2011 Report Share Posted August 14, 2011 If your ECU is OBD1, you need the lambda sensor. With out it the ECU will over fuel the engine.If your ECU is OBD2 and tuned correctly, you don't ~need the lambda sensor.Cutting and joining the wires on the sensor is not recommended . If you need to change the plug, it is better to change it on the wiring loom. Link to post Share on other sites
