deanjames 0
Hi Guys,Hope you can help with this really frustrating issue i am having and i am almost 70% sure its the factory immobalizer nowI have done the following- Cleaned ISV- New fuel filter- New Blue temp sensor- New batterycleaned ignition coilI have recently had a new alarm fitted, reason this was fitted because i thought it was an issue with the alarm. - Car was doing this before i had a new alarm fitted.- Fitted a new one hoping it was at fault and the car is still doing it.The issue is i got to start my car and its cuts out. The engine goes to crank and then nothing. I will try after a few attempts and then it will fire up like nothings happened. Its 50/50 i could get into my car one morning and start it up and it starts fine first turn of the key and others it takes around 4-5 attempts.I have put the car on VAGcom and get the following code.Controller 021 906 258 coCoding: PMC 1HS17978- Engine start blocked by immobiliserP1570-35-10 IntermittentWhen it cuts out i put the key into position one and it chirps so this leads me to believe its immobilisers related. When it starts it starts fine put key into position 1 and no chirps.Any ideas guys, or anyone i could take it to I am located in Milton Keynes Any other issues you guys had like this i am thinking of de immobilizing ECU,When it starts it runs absolutelySkrU0tKz_xI[ fineMany thanks
UnitedMotorsport 55
The 1st 2 times look and sound like the factory immobilizer in the ECU.The fact that the fault code appears in the ECU is pretty conclusive.I would guess at you have a intermittent fault somewhere along the line.If you have an after market alarm/immobilizer, having the factory one removed from the ECU wont cause any security issues. deanjames 0
The third time I am putting my foot on the throttle and it's fine, so my guess is that the factory immob is kicking in blocking the fuel pump and starter ect.I thought about it a lot and it has toBe the ecu immob playing up. I don't want to spent money and just go ahead and deimmobalise the ecu without it being looked at. But I can't think what else it can be.Thank you united motorsport for your reply
UnitedMotorsport 55
The ECU immo does NOT kill the starter or the fuel pump

UnitedMotorsport 55
Crank sensor!Wont bring up the "blocked by immobiliser" fault.
deanjames 0
Sorry that's just and example of what it seemsLike it's doing, united motorsport why do you think factory immob causing the issue that's myBet
UnitedMotorsport 55
The fact that you have an intermittent fault being recorded that the ECU is blocked by the immobiliser.Clear the fault codes, let the car have the symptom, and then recheck the fault codes.
