stapes 0 Posted April 21, 2011 Report Share Posted April 21, 2011 Hi, I have just replaced the thermostat and coolant sensor (blue) after constant fan running and 90 degree starting temp on the gauge !? Fan still running from cold*-) and....Heres the weird thing,Cold bottom rad hose when its been running a while and temp gauge is bang on half when i switch ignition on from cold! Am i right to think it could be the water pump next? SOMEBODY HELP MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-( Link to post Share on other sites
UnitedMotorsport 55 Posted April 21, 2011 Report Share Posted April 21, 2011 Is it actually over heating? ie steam coming out?Replace the yellow 4 pin sensor that is next to the blue one in the water housing. You could test it by unplugging it, and seeing if the fan goes off, and the temperature gauge drops down.The yellow sensor is where the temperature gauge gets its signal.
