stevenbetts109 0 Posted April 18, 2011 Report Share Posted April 18, 2011 ive got a mk vr highline and sometimes it doesnt start. everytime my friend comes round to have a look at it, it works fine and doesnt throw up any fault codes on his little scanner. the engine turns over when it doesnt start it just doesnt fire up! does anyone know any common faults in vr's that may cause this? thank you! Dave_ciw 507 Posted April 18, 2011 Report Share Posted April 18, 2011 Sounds like a crank sensor mate? They are a magnetic copper coil and the bits move inside when they are on their way out. So sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt and the car will just wind over without starting! Link to post Share on other sites
