mikey 0
Every now and then when I dip the clutch the revs drop dramatically and the throttle either can't deal with it and the car dies or it over compensates and revs up and down a few times before settling it's on a turbo running c2's stage 3 chip Any Ideas ??? russj249 2
is it OBD1 or 2. Could be the idle control valve sticking a bit. I know they can be a problem. Had to do mine once or twice. Can be sorted pretty easy with some carb cleaner or something poured in it, give it a good shake and soak. Just make it's 100% dry before re-fitting it. mikey 0
Oh right cool it's obd2 I thought it was somthing that could be reset via vagcom I have plugged mine in and don't have any fault codes but I only have a shareware version !!
Ben Seabrook 4
if its an obd2 you wont have an idle control valve mate so the first things to check/do are clean the MAF and check the state of the throttle body mate
mikey 0
Ok well the maf Is brand new and the throttle body was all cleaned before it went back on ?? :-(
Ben Seabrook 4
throttle position sensor might be faulty but I would think that would throw up a code on vag-com
bungy 2
Have another look inside the throttle body to ensure there is no oily deposits or gumming.

jims13 6
mike you gor dv ? if so it needs to be a recirc, or as you have a maf , this may happen..otherwise its a airleak, retighten all connectors and double checks everything
mikey 0
No dump valve jim but I also suspected air leak but snow has stopped play
mikey 0
Right I don't seem to have any air leaks and connectors seem good but I have noticed that if I rev it but not hit boost it's fine but when boost is made it revs down real lumpy almost with a miss no fault codes at all ??
