weemo1rush 0
Hello all.well after driving the vr for nearly 3 weeks and doing nothing too it i have decided to service it.One thing i would love to get done it the noisy tappits or lifters sorted! they are not to loud but you can hear them when on the motorway doing a steady 80mph. now are these are hydraulic or can i adjust them? Also it has Hids fitted. when i turn them on to dipped they flash for a couple of seconds like a cop car then come on as normal.. Also when i turn dipped from main beam sometimes only one side comes on any ideas on that? How much should i pay for a head rebuild. should i go down lumpy cams route or stay standard?cheers all
Lukey. 381
this will tell you what to do to stop the lights flickering on dipped beam, its to do with a resistor that needs bypassing http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?356917lifters AFAIK are maintenance free hydraulica fresh oil change/service on an old car new to you is the best thing you could do, get your genuine bits from TPS and use quantum synta silver oil that we all swear by and it wont cost a lot either
