VR6-DUB 3 Posted June 10, 2010 Report Share Posted June 10, 2010 HiI have noticed some times my car does not let me go in to gears properly, and my reverse gear some times plays up too, i have my clutch fully down when changing, but it sometimes crunches in to gears?What do you guys reckon?Cheers. xyber 1 Posted June 12, 2010 Report Share Posted June 12, 2010 Me again hahagear linkage bush is a fairly common problem and a cheap and easy fix, less than £10 for the repair kit at GSF I've heard.The old ones crumble over time and cause it to slop around making gears abit hit and miss to find or sometimes even undrivableHave a look at the gearbox mount and see if it looks like it's leakingDo a clutch test, 30mph 5th gear, what happens, stuttering, stalling or pulling is ok, if the revs pick up easily the clutch is goingTransmission fluid may need a change.That's most of the normal things I can think of off the top of my head Link to post Share on other sites
