[moved] Milltek exhaust

Hi All

I have recently bought a full milltek exhaust, decat pipe and full cat back exhaust from someone, should be here by weekend, cant wait !!!

Anyway as it is a used exhaust, i wanted to know what are the best cleaning products to use to clean the exhaust system up, make it look like new and what to use to clean up the exhaust joints, example where the back box joins the centre section, centre section to de cat pipe?

People that have tried and tested products please put in your info.

I use autosol metal polish ony miltek , brings it up nice and shinny , not sure about cleaning the joints , but I would scrape of any exhaust paste and then maybe some light wet and dry paper to smooth the joints maybe, it's an awsome bit of kit and sounds great I love mine !

I would waste your time, it'll be back to square one quickly. Just do the back box and tail pipe

quickest way to get stubborn stuff of exhausts is autosol on wire wool (except the tail pipe, unless it's really bad and you can repolish after)

i fitted mine the other day and used a couple of different wire wheels that go on a drill worked a treat halfrauds £5

I went to halfrauds and bought autosol metal polish, which worked quite well and made my zorst look like new, well near enough new. lol.

nice one mate did mine the other day with Autosol and it works well but still a few stubborn marks so going to break out the wet and dry and then autosol it afterwards
