FreddyFel 0
Hi. I was thinking of this stuff myself after I saw the state of my piston crown while checking for TDC - it looked like the surface of the moon or something!I did a bit of research and found that BG44K contains 30-50% PEA (that's PolyEthyl Amide, not a small green vegetable... ). I couldn't find anything else in the UK, so was about to go to KwikFit and pay 25 quid when I found the data sheet for Comma DTox somewhere online. It contains - guess what - 30-50% PEA.Best of all, it's 14.99 in any Halfords!Tried it, looked again down the plug hole after about half a tank and could already see the piston crown in places - much better! After a full tank, she starts MUCH quicker from cold and idles SOOOO smoothly compared to before.Very, very pleased with this result.
