Passenger door intermittent opening problem

Hi, apologies for this not relating to my vr highline but to our 99 cabrio.

I have two problems with the passenger door side and would appreciate help:

1. The passenger leccy window works from the drivers side but not the switch in the passenger door. It's Bern like this before I bought it a few years ago and is just an annoyance.

2. In the past couple of weeks the passenger door will open intermittently. The key goes in and twists the mech fine, you can hear central locking whirring, sometimes everything works, other times you can open from inside, others from the outside, or not at all.

Any ideas please? If this thread needs to mice elsewhere, please let me know.
