rob_skater 0
So to sum it all up, over the past couple of weeks i have slowly done a head re-build and changed all the chain guides.I have now put the whole thing back together and when i went to start it was very lumpy as if it was on only 2 clynders.Obviously i took of the rocker cover again and timed it up again, but still the same problem!Any body have any ideas as to what it could be? Its as if the engine just doesnt want to start, and if it does its totally not firing properly. Thanks in anticipation, rob
gary.scales 0
you dont have the timing 180 degrees out do you? I did that once :-)
rob_skater 0
Im pretty sure i don't, i have checked the timing 3 times now because i really did think it was the timing.Wouldnt i hear alot of piston valve contact if i had it 180 degrees out tho? with the plugs out ofcource? russj249 2
if it's exactly 180degree's out it'll still turn over but won't run without damaging the head.just means it'll be on intake stroke of piston but power stroke according to engine electrics etc so spark is miles out. rob_skater 0
So will it be running really really badly and sound like its on one clynder?
