Help with an exhaust - near Edinburgh?

I've had my VR6 for a 4 months or so now. Got it pretty cheap and have been fixing things up but the exhaust just crumbled apart a month or so ago. It fell off completely on my way to Kwik Fit to see what they would charge.

I was quoted £450 for a complete exhaust which isn't really worth it so I bought a used one from a member here. I got the rear silencer and straight pipe but no middle silencer. I was hoping that I could buy a new middle silencer and have them put it on with the other parts but 2 places have said that because the rear silencer has been cut it won't work - so it will be £350 for the middle and rear parts.

I've read that you can just use 90 degree pipes instead of the middle silencer and that it is pretty cheap - but I don't have any way of getting under the car and I've never tried that before.

Does anyone want to help me do it? Happy to pay for parts and labour and help with any dirty stuff. Just getting fed up looking at it rotting outside my house at the moment.

Would have to be fairly nearby because the noise and vibration is pretty outrageous at the moment.

alright mate the centre box was in place before i smashed it but instead of getting another one (£150) ifitted the two 90 deg bends instead, ive got a diagram for cutting an original vr exhaust and the back box is cut in the same place as yours i will find it and email it to you ..bit to far for me to come to help but its an easy job if you can borrow a couple of axle stands and trolley jack...
