gixerthrasher 0
Hi guys, I did an oil & filter change at the weekend & noticed my auxiliary drive belt's past it's best..I've just ordered a genuine replacement one & was wondering does anyone know how much these are to have fitted as presumably special tools are needed to tension the belt correctly after fitting? bungy 2
There is information on the serpentine belt and tensioner in the premium members area knowledge vault.
gixerthrasher 0
The job was a doddle to do & took about 3/4 of an hour saving me £80! I could've done it quicker but had a good look round the lump to see if anything else needs attention which gladly wasn't the case..I followed the serpentine belt fitting guide in the maintenance section which was a big help.. So a big thanks to the guy who wrote that up..
bungy 2
I know it's an after thought but did you grease your tensioner while you were at it. If not it's worth doing next time.
