What exhaust will fit my VR6?

I bought a VR6 a few months ago - really cheap with a few problems.

The latest problem is that the exhaust fell off - the cat is okay but I need everything else back and the quotes I've had just aren't worth it.

I've been trying to get one from a breaker but am not sure what fits - does the exhaust from a 16v GTi fit the VR6?

I beleive they do from the 16v cat back tho not cat id say

yeh a 16v will fit from cat bck and a 8v gti will fit but you will need a reducer to fit it as the diameter of the pipe is to small

Followup question. I've found someone breaking a VR6 nearby and he's offered me the centre parts for cheap. His is a 95. Mine is a 96 and one of the sits I was looking for parts on had 2 different models. If I buy that one is it likely to fit?

Agony isn't it?

My standard tail box pipe split from the centre box just before Christmas. I had repaired it hoping that I find a cheap second exhaust near me; no joy. But after phoning for a new replacment from various outlets, I had decied to go for a Milltek, just under £450. Had I got one befoe Xmas its would have been £390.

Everyone thinks I mad spending this kind of money compared to what the car is worth. But its not worth me selling, so might as well get the best quality when things need replacing.
