sharan vr6 manual gearbox woes

So just leaving my mothers house on new years day , as i applied a bit of throttle to pull away BANG .

And a big puddle of gearbox oil laid in the middle of the road . Joy . After mangaing to crawl under and have a look , i find that the diff housing around the O/S output is all shattered around the driveshaft .

So now im on the hunt for another gearbox . Can anyone tell me the gearbox code for the sharan ??

I know galaxys with the vr6 engine were fitted with a ford vxt75 box . but what do sharans have in ?
