davee 0 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Share Posted December 31, 2009 lately my vr seems to be over fuelling even when your in traffic i can get a bad smell of petrol and on start up in the morning it does stink of petrol and i only seem to get about 22 mpg on the moter way thats down from 29 mpg on the same run i recentlyhad a decat and stainles exhaust fitted would this have anything to do with it? UnitedMotorsport 55 Posted January 1, 2010 Report Share Posted January 1, 2010 From your average MPG figures you are using ~25% more fuel. Is it a coincedence that 25% is the maximum lambda trim? Who fitted the cay bypass? did they refit the lambda probe?On on OBD1 car, if the lambda sensor is missing the ECU automatically adds maxium fuel trim (25%) Link to post Share on other sites

andynick69 0 Posted January 22, 2010 Report Share Posted January 22, 2010 Just had a 80k service,on a run from brum to manchester!130 miles) mfa was showing 36-37 average. Well chuffed,a few 50 mph sections but generally 75-80 all way, didnt even change plugs as they were nt needed,watch this space, new schimmel ht leads and plugs next.
