Hi Guys

The past 5 days the car had a number of faults which I fixed, then yesterday I cleaned the ISV and put a new dizzy cap on, but now when I put it on vagcom it has come up with the fault:

00515 from which I can make out, the hall sender intermittent.

I looked in the knowledge vault, there is a thread but no instructions.

How can I clean and test it?

I need some help, I have not driven it in the last 5 days and it is winding me up.

Rich

Hi,

Does the error come back once you clear it?

The hall sender cleaning instructions are in the download section IIRC. But, unfortuantly, only deal with coil pack engines.

The car should run with this problem, it could just be down on power and a little lumpy, maybe.

Weirdly no, I cleared the faults, then started the car and no faults came up even the isv fault had gone.

Its running sweet (ish), need to get it tuned but it is idling ok and not cutting out when i release the clutch.

Time to save up for a rebuild
