davee 0
does the inlet have to come off?
craggsy 91
Makes it easier to get most of the bolts
russj249 2
Also might help a bit... The bolts that bolt the manifold to the head could be in pretty bad shape.Mine were so a few sheered off when I undid them. I found out after that they are the same thread as what holds the upper inlet manifold to the lower manifold (where injectors are)Might be worth taking one out and getting 10 or so bolts just incase. I ended up renewing all of my exhaust manifold bolts when I fitted mine just because of the rust. And the 3 bolts to the CAT, a good heat source until it's glowing red should sort that out.How many holes does your manifold have where it does bolt to the CAT?? I have a raceland manifold and it's only got 2 but the standard CAT has 3 holes. Just a warning incase you didn't realise and start taking exhaust off to find out you can't fit it. davee 0
te my 6 branch has 2 holes but the cat has 3 how did toy get around this ?
rodney 17
Deffo worth replacing the bolts and the gasket whilst you're there...I cant help you on the 3 bolt thing as I got all my Zorst done at the same time. It is fidly so anything you can strip will help the access process. Also the Stainless has no flex section so are your engine mounts standard? I ask as some people have had their mani crack with standard mounts. So may be worth looking on here for the partnumbers if you want to upgrade.. In members section if I recall in the modification section...
russj249 2
You need an adapter. I can't remember who does them but it's basically an adapter that fits to your manifold before going to the cat. I'll try and find a pic for you.
russj249 2
Can't find a pic mate. If I was you I'd get in contact with Dubpower as they sell their manifolds with a CAT adapter. I'm not sure if it's the same thing but if you ask them they should be able to sort something out for you.

davee 0
thanks for all the replies think il go back to the garage that done my exhaust im not going to start on that out sde the only to find out something doesnt fit at least they can cut and weld if they have to! russj249 2
Yes if they are up for it, You could ask them to get a bit of pipe and weld that to your CAT with 2 pipes.Personally if I was you I'd do things a bit different. It might mean that it won't pass the emissions though (not a problem for me)I had a de-cat pipe made for mine with the correct fitting to fit the 6 branch to. I'd recomend instead of the CAT you have them weld in a flexy section. Reason being that at the moment the downpipes have a flexy section, but the new manifold doesn't.I found this out the hard way as everytime I put my foot down the engine would twist and rip the exhaust apart. so... From the engine, I'd have manifold, new pipe with correct fitment for manifold, flexy section, middle box, back box. It's easier to modify the enhaust pipe itself that modify the manifold.Hope this helps a bit
