antonyr123 0 Posted November 26, 2009 Report Share Posted November 26, 2009 Hey Guys, The timing chain rail broke and seemed to bend a few valves on a striped out VW Sharon VR6.I removed the gearbox to replace the chains,tensioners along with clutch kit.I replaced the headgasket,valves and got the heads ported while it was off the car.I replaced the big end bearing, thermsat and a faulty rad sensor while i was down there.I'v noticed the car is reving slowly from 1-3k rpm then after that it go's shit hot to redline.Lovly british weather! lol(my V6 Alfa Next to it having New 3.2GTA intake cams,Crome Intake pipes,Conversation plate and injectors. Also before repray- u can see a test color on the wing )After the driveway repray Head after removalAlfa romeo Engine after i finshed the build. But Im sure people with preach and say there say, Seen it before on here a bit so id remove to avoid some comments.On the engine side of things, Could it be the timing is slightly out? Sounds to me like it is. Maybe re time. Heard on here alot of poeple timing up ever so slightly off but having the reverse symptoms your having mate. Although the vrs are a bit lazy below 3000............ If its not much at all maybe that, If not Id say above. Link to post Share on other sites

antonyr123 0 Posted November 26, 2009 Author Report Share Posted November 26, 2009 i'v retimed the Vr6 twice.i used the cam tools and Tdc tool.maybe there not much backpressure making it alittle lazy ? .I only commented on my other car since it was in the first pic. im a petrol head and i dont only protect one car brand.
