MarkGolf 6 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Share Posted November 8, 2009 Today I fitted my 32 pump and shallow sump so obviously drained the oil, my car has only done just over 300 miles since I rebuilt it and I was a bit concerned as to how the oil had gone so dark so soon, I was expecting it to come out pretty clean! It's never gone over 85 degrees according to my SPA gauge and pretty much just done motorways ion that 300 miles... I'm guessing it could just be a mixutre of the overfuelling issue i had and general crap in the engine from it's rebuild stage..I went for the recommended syntha silver 10/40..I'm wondering if I should maybe go for something else, bearing in mind the car is rarely used....
